Patemm Pad Review

So I recently had the chance to review a Patemm Pad. It is AWESOME!!! I love love love it! It is so handy. :) If you've never heard of them, then listen up. It is a huge changing pad that you can whip out anywhere with one hand to change your baby on. It has 8 pockets on the inside to hold your diaper changing essentials.

This is what mine looks like when it is stocked. So I have enough for 2 diaper changes, which is enough for most outings, especially if you change them right before you head out. And what I do with the dirty gDiaper is right here on this video http://www.youtube.com/user/gdiapers#p/u/78/nba3avGAIuE Sometimes I don't roll the gPant up with the pouch and cloth though sometimes if it's just pee especially I'll just roll the pouch and cloth up and stick it in one of the pockets because the Patemm Pad is wipeable and washable!!! You can check out all the awesome designs of Patemm Pads at http://patemm.com/ All in all I love this product. I think it is WAY WAY WAY more awesome than those rinky dink little square pads that come with a diaper bag. I actually just run in places with my Patemm and it is so handy, maybe a little too handy just because you don't realize you only have that little pad pouch to carry and I could so see myself leaving it in my buggy or something, but that may just be me. lol. So tell me anyone else have pics about what you store in your patemm? I'd love to hear about it. :)

What's Going On...

I love love love this time of year. The weather is so beautiful and trees are changing. :) The leaves falling remind me that we are to shed our former selves and become a new creation in the Lord. He will direct us where to go if our hearts and minds are open for His direction. Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner! I start thinking about how thankful and generous we are during the Holiday season but then remember we should be this way all year long. Lord, please change my heart and create in me a heart that longs hard after you.

My Diaper Changing Procedures ... lol

I really like using cloth diapers. They get some bad reviews by some cloth diapering mommas but they work great for us and are too cute! They are very trim when used with a gCloth insert. They are a little bulky when we use prefolds in them, but that is normally only at night so it’s fine for us. A cool website is www.joyfulabode.com she has a series on gDiapers called gWhiz that is really neat. She goes into detail about her diaper changing station and laundry procedures and all that jazz. I love going places and having discussions with other moms and dropping the bombshell that we use cloth diapers. It inspires some very fun discussions. I like want to turn everybody on to them, not because I want to save the planet or anything (it will be destroyed) but in the long run, it will be saving us so much money considering that they will last through many children. At the beginning it is expensive to get started and if you don’t watch yourself you can become addicted and spend more on buying cute prints or colors that you spend more than if you would have on disposables. But I guess there are worse things to be addicted to. Lol. J Okay so when she has a poopy diaper I take it off and spray some wipe cleaner on a cloth wipe and clean her up put that diaper to the side and put an insert into a new gPant and gPouch and put it on her. I snap the pouch out and take it to the bathroom. If the gPant didn’t get anything on it, I hang it on her clothes hamper to air out. I go into the bathroom and turn the cold water on in the shower and rinse out the poopy pouch and insert. I scrub them against themselves to get most of the excess off and then wring it out and toss it in the diaper pail I have in there. And the gPouch goes in the lingerie bag that I have tucked under the lip of the diaper pail. I just started rinsing them on Sunday and it is a huge improvement in the stinky area. J  I hope to get a good detachable shower head or toilet sprayer one of these days. It is working right now just using the tub since she is exclusively breastfed but once we introduce solids I imagine her poo will get more form so I will have to have some force behind the water to be able to get it to come off. I think it is so funny that people are so grossed out by washing dirty diapers. I mean you have to change poopy diapers when you use disposables too. And you have A LOT more blowouts when you use disposables than when you use cloth. We hardly ever have poo get on the gPant. Sometimes we get a leak from too much pee, but that is normally at night when I haven’t changed her in a while.

G's

So it's funny to think about being addicted to something like cloth diapers, huh? It is a weird and yet fun thing. The diaper of choice for our family is the gDiaper. We really like them. I know I know some people think these are terrible but for our family they are totally awesome! You know you are a loon when you want to get cloth diapers for your birthday not for your childs. lol. :) I will post pics of our gDiaper stash as soon as I can. We have about 20 g's. We have 6 smalls, 8 mediums, and 6 larges. We are currently in size medium. Quinney is so sweet we just fall in love with her more and more all the time. :) She is the joy of my life. Her daddy and I are just amazed and in awe of who God is and how he creates life. It's awesome that we get to be apart of creating life when He could do it all himself as with the first couple, but no he lets us take part of that awesome and unmatchable greatness.
